"The artistic lure of the play is its storytelling via crisp characterizations instead of stock crass characters."
- Madame Noire Magazine

NYC PLAYERS THEATER

BURGDORFF
THEATER
Supernatural: The Play explores the lives of seven women who are forced to confront their hair and themselves. Filled with stories of triumph, the play is guaranteed to make you laugh and inspire you to think about what God gave you. The play tackles the cultural and legal battles Black women have fought over their hair, from schools and workplaces policing natural styles to the fight behind the CROWN Act. The play is returning after traveling across the country to sold-out audiences. Everyone has a hair story.
Support for Supernatural: The Play is provided by The T. Thomas Fortune Foundation
and The Supernatural Project.
